About
Paul Boucherat
Operations background. BA Business Management from Nottingham Trent. Product management at Stone Computers. Property investment. Then AI, from late 2022, shipping production applications since early 2024.
No CS degree. Self-taught. That matters because the people I work with are not engineers either. They are managers, founders, and team leads who need someone who understands their world, not someone who talks past them.
I have been using OpenAI and Anthropic products since release. I have built and deployed APIs, MCP servers, SaaS products, and internal tools across property, trading, scheduling, and legal. The PyPI packages have thousands of downloads a month. The tools run in production.
But the work that matters most is not the systems. It is watching someone who thought they could not do this realise they can.
How this works
Most AI training starts with the tools. Open this app. Write this prompt. Here are the features. That is useful, but it optimises the wrong thing. The tools are not the bottleneck. Your team is.
Not because they are incapable. Because nobody gave them the time, the context, or the confidence to approach their work differently. The switch is not hard. It just needs to be led.
I start where most consultants do not: with confidence. Basic IT literacy. Can you navigate files and folders comfortably? Because someone who hesitates there will hit the same wall with agents and workflows. I work with the whole picture, not just the tools.
Then we find the actual constraint in your workflow. Not the obvious one. The real one. And we build around it in a way that compounds, so every improvement makes the next one easier.
